💼 English in Real Life #13

💼 English in Real Life #13 Asking a Senior for Help at Work 👩 Intern: Hey, do you have a minute? I'm a little confused about what I need to prepare for the meeting. 👩‍💼 Senior: Sure. Which part are you having trouble with? 👩 Intern: I was told to prepare the meeting materials, but I'm not exactly sure what should be included. 👩‍💼 Senior: Okay. First, use the template from our last meeting. I'll show you where to find it. 👩 Intern: Oh, thank you. Should I update all the information in it? 👩‍💼 Senior: Yes. Update the schedule and project status, and add the latest figures from this week's report. 👩 Intern: Got it. What about the client information? 👩‍💼 Senior: Keep that section, but double-check the names and contact details before the meeting. 👩 Intern: Okay. Could you also show me how to organize the files? I'm still not used to our system. 👩‍💼 Senior: Of course. Create one folder for the presentation, one for reference documents, and put the final versions here. 👩 Intern: Just to make sure I understood correctly: I update the presentation, check the client information, and organize all the final files here. Right? 👩‍💼 Senior: Exactly. And send everything to me before 3 p.m. so I can review it. 👩 Intern: Got it. Is there anything else I should prepare for the meeting? 👩‍💼 Senior: Bring your laptop and take notes during the meeting. You might also be asked to send a summary afterward. 👩 Intern: Okay! I'll get everything ready and send it to you before three. Thanks for walking me through it. 👩‍💼 Senior: No problem. If you're not sure about something, just ask. It's better to check than to guess.
