My team mentioned that having a job-related certificate could be useful for my future role and maybe for visa documents later, but they didn’t really explain the steps, so I started collecting everything myself 🙂 What helped me so far: write down the exact Korean name of the certificate, check if the exam has a practical part, ask a Korean coworker to confirm the registration page, and keep screenshots/receipts in one folder. Also, I learned it’s better to ask the company early if exam day counts as leave, because every workplace seems to handle it differently.

여기서 일하면서 자격증을 준비하는 분들을 위해 작은 정보를 공유합니다. 우리 팀에서는 직무 관련 자격증이 제 앞으로의 역할에 도움이 될 수 있고, 나중에는 비자 서류에도 유용할 수 있다고 했지만, 절차에 대해서는 자세히 설명해 주지 않아서 제가 직접 하나씩 모으기 시작했어요 🙂 지금까지 도움이 되었던 점은 다음과 같습니다. 자격증의 정확한 한국어 명칭을 적어 두기, 시험에 실기 파트가 있는지 확인하기, 한국인 동료에게 접수 페이지가 맞는지 확인해 달라고 부탁하기, 그리고 스크린샷과 영수증을 한 폴더에 보관하기입니다. 또 한 가지 배운 점은, 시험 당일이 휴가로 처리되는지 회사에 미리 물어보는 것이 더 낫다는 것입니다. 회사마다 처리 방식이 꽤 다르더라고요.
