I picked up my updated work visa card this week, and instead of celebrating in a big way, I went home and made the closest version of my hometown stew with whatever I could find at the market 🙂. My little routine during the process was: keep all papers in one clear folder, check the appointment time twice, arrive early, and prepare one comforting meal for after. I am not giving visa advice because every case seems a bit different, but having something familiar waiting at home made the whole day feel lighter. Funny how food can make a small room in Korea feel like home for one evening.

ខ្ញុំបានយកកាតវីសាការងារដែលបានធ្វើបច្ចុប្បន្នភាពរបស់ខ្ញុំក្នុងសប្តាហ៍នេះ ហើយជំនួសឱ្យការអបអរសាទរយ៉ាងធំ ខ្ញុំបានត្រឡប់ទៅផ្ទះ ហើយធ្វើស្ទូវរូបមន្តដែលជិតបំផុតនឹងស្ទូវស្រុកកំណើតរបស់ខ្ញុំ ដោយប្រើអ្វីក៏បានដែលខ្ញុំអាចរកបាននៅផ្សារ 🙂។ ទម្លាប់តូចៗរបស់ខ្ញុំក្នុងអំឡុងដំណើរការគឺ៖ ទុកឯកសារទាំងអស់ក្នុងថតឯកសារច្បាស់មួយ ទន្ទេញពេលណាត់ជួបពីរដង មកដល់មុនពេល និងរៀបចំអាហារលួងលោមមួយមុខសម្រាប់ក្រោយ។ ខ្ញុំមិនផ្តល់ដំបូន្មានអំពីវីសាទេ ព្រោះករណីនីមួយៗហាក់ដូចជាខុសគ្នាបន្តិចបន្តួច ប៉ុន្តែការមានអ្វីមួយដែលស្គាល់រង់ចាំនៅផ្ទះ ធ្វើឱ្យថ្ងៃទាំងមូលមានអារម្មណ៍ស្រាលជាងមុន។ គួរឱ្យអស់សំណើចណាស់ ដែលអាហារអាចធ្វើឱ្យបន្ទប់តូចមួយនៅកូរ៉េ មានអារម្មណ៍ដូចផ្ទះសម្រាប់មួយល្ងាច។
