#9 Learning How to Make Kimchi Fried Rice 👨 Son: Mom, are you busy? Can you teach me how to make kimchi fried rice? 👩 Mom: You? Cooking? Since when are you interested in cooking? 👨 Son: What? I just thought I should learn how to cook something. 👩 Mom: Hmm… That's unusual. Are you trying to cook for someone? 👨 Son: Mom! No! It's not like that. Just teach me, please. 👩 Mom: Haha, alright, alright. First, chop the kimchi into small pieces. 👨 Son: Like this? What should I do next? 👩 Mom: Heat some oil in a pan, then add the kimchi and fry it for a few minutes. 👨 Son: Should I cook it on high heat? 👩 Mom: No, medium heat is fine. Keep stirring so it doesn't burn. 👨 Son: Got it. When should I add the rice? 👩 Mom: Once the kimchi gets soft, add the rice and mix everything together. Then add a little soy sauce and sesame oil. 👨 Son: Oh, it smells really good! What about the egg? 👩 Mom: Fry one separately and put it on top. Then sprinkle some sesame seeds and green onions over it. 👨 Son: Done! See? Maybe I'm actually pretty good at cooking. 👩 Mom: Hmm… Whoever you're cooking for is pretty lucky. 👨 Son: Mom! I told you, there's no one!
