Hi everyone, ​I'm currently a second-semester master's student in a GSIS program in Seoul. ​When I first started my master's degree, I didn't pay much attention to the order of my English name because a friend told me it's normal for universities in Korea to switch them around. ​However, when I printed out my Certificate of Enrollment today, I noticed my full name is listed as [Given Name] [Surname]. Since I'm from a Chinese-speaking background, both my passport and ARC display my name as [Surname] [Given Name]. ​Do I need to get the university to change my name order so that it matches my passport and ARC? If so, how should I go about doing this? ​Thank you so much for your help!

सभी को नमस्ते, ​मैं अभी सियोल में GSIS कार्यक्रम में मास्टर’s की दूसरी सेमेस्टर की छात्रा/छात्र हूँ। ​जब मैंने पहली बार अपना मास्टर’s शुरू किया था, तब मैंने अपने अंग्रेज़ी नाम के क्रम पर ज़्यादा ध्यान नहीं दिया, क्योंकि एक दोस्त ने बताया था कि कोरिया की विश्वविद्यालयों में नाम का क्रम बदल देना आम बात है। ​लेकिन आज जब मैंने अपना Certificate of Enrollment प्रिंट किया, तो मैंने देखा कि मेरा पूरा नाम [Given Name] [Surname] के रूप में दर्ज है। चूँकि मैं चीनी-भाषी पृष्ठभूमि से हूँ, इसलिए मेरे पासपोर्ट और ARC दोनों में मेरा नाम [Surname] [Given Name] के रूप में दिखता है। ​क्या मुझे विश्वविद्यालय से अपना नाम क्रम बदलवाना चाहिए ताकि वह मेरे पासपोर्ट और ARC से मेल खाए? अगर हाँ, तो मुझे यह कैसे करना चाहिए? ​आपकी मदद के लिए बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद!
