Hi everyone, ​I'm currently a second-semester master's student in a GSIS program in Seoul. ​When I first started my master's degree, I didn't pay much attention to the order of my English name because a friend told me it's normal for universities in Korea to switch them around. ​However, when I printed out my Certificate of Enrollment today, I noticed my full name is listed as [Given Name] [Surname]. Since I'm from a Chinese-speaking background, both my passport and ARC display my name as [Surname] [Given Name]. ​Do I need to get the university to change my name order so that it matches my passport and ARC? If so, how should I go about doing this? ​Thank you so much for your help!

Hola a todos, Actualmente soy estudiante de maestría de segundo semestre en un programa GSIS en Seúl. Cuando empecé mi maestría, no le presté mucha atención al orden de mi nombre en inglés porque un amigo me dijo que en las universidades de Corea es normal invertirlo. Sin embargo, cuando imprimí hoy mi Certificate of Enrollment, noté que mi nombre completo figura como [Given Name] [Surname]. Como vengo de un entorno de habla china, tanto mi pasaporte como mi ARC muestran mi nombre como [Surname] [Given Name]. ¿Necesito pedirle a la universidad que cambie el orden de mi nombre para que coincida con mi pasaporte y mi ARC?
