Today I happened to stop by Yeonsikdang in the Bokjeong area of Seongnam, and I have to say I really liked it 😋 This place specializes in Korean dishes that are very easy to enjoy, the kind of meal that fills you up and still feels really satisfying. The menu is also quite diverse, so it’s even easier to choose dishes when going with a group. 🍜 Naengmyeon – cool, light, and refreshing, perfect for days when you want something gentle. 🥩 Donkatsu – the portion is quite generous, ideal for the team that says “whatever we eat, it has to be filling” 😂 🍚 Dolsot bibimbap – hot rice served in a stone pot, mixed with various vegetables and toppings, both fragrant and hearty. The prices are reasonable too, so it’s a place worth trying, everyone~ If you’re in Seongnam / Bokjeong and don’t know what to eat today, Yeonsikdang is a spot worth saving 📌 📍 Address: 1st Floor, 121 Bokjeong-ro, Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do, Wooshin Building 7

  • 🌰 If you come to Hongcheon, don’t forget to try hodugwaja!

🌰 If you come to Hongcheon, don’t forget to try hodugwaja! If you have a chance to visit Hongcheon, besides famous foods like makguksu or dakgalbi, you can also try a very cute snack – hodugwaja 🥰 Hodugwaja is a small walnut-shaped pastry. It is golden and fragrant on the outside, and inside it usually contains mildly sweet red bean paste and a piece of walnut. Freshly baked and piping hot, the soft, aromatic crust combines with the nutty walnut and the sweetness of the red bean filling, and after one bite, you’ll want another! 🤎 In particular, here you will have the chance to see the walnut pastry-making process with your own eyes. 📌 Address: Rest stop in Hongcheon 🌰 Signature item: hodugwaja ✨ Perfect for buying to eat on the road or as a gift for friends and family. If you are traveling to Sokcho, be sure to stop by the Hongcheon rest stop and don’t miss this cute little pastry! ❤️

  • Yukjeon Gukbap – Near Starfield Suwon

Yukjeon Gukbap – Near Starfield Suwon If you are a lover of Korean cuisine, then you definitely should not miss 육전국밥. This is a combination of hot 국밥 (rice soup) and 육전 (egg-battered fried beef) that is tender and fragrant. 🥩 The beef is coated in batter and egg, then fried golden on the outside while remaining soft and full of flavor on the inside. When eaten together with the hot broth and rice, the rich aroma of 육전 blends with the clean, savory taste of the broth, creating a dish that is very easy to enjoy and especially suitable for chilly days. ✨ What I like most about 육전국밥 is that the dish is not overly elaborate, yet it brings a warm, filling, and very “Korean” feeling. It is also a great choice if you want to try a 국밥 dish that is different from the usual kinds. 📍 If you have a chance to visit Starfield Suwon, give 육전국밥 a try! Who knows, it might become one of your favorite Korean dishes ❤️ Be sure to save this address: 43, Suseong-ro 157beon-gil, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, Gyeonggi-do

  • ☕ Starbucks – my familiar go-to spot

☕ Starbucks – my familiar go-to spot This is one of the places I often like to stop by with my friends or grab takeaway from. Starbucks has pretty much become a familiar spot whenever we want to meet up, chat, or simply find a chill place to sit. 🥰 Especially since I’ve almost tried everything on the menu here already… of course, except coffee 😂 Since I don’t drink coffee, I usually choose other items like tea, blended iced drinks, or seasonal menu items. Maybe what I like about Starbucks isn’t just the drinks, but also the familiar feeling, because there’s Starbucks in Vietnam too 🥰 What about you all? If you don’t drink coffee, what do you usually order at Starbucks? 👀☕✨

  • “Just 2 months—what could possibly be achieved?”

“Just 2 months—what could possibly be achieved?” For me, those 2 months became a very special milestone. From the first days of preparing for TOPIK with so much pressure and anxiety, I tried my best to study every single day, little by little. There were days when I studied and still couldn’t remember the vocabulary, kept getting practice questions wrong, and even thought that the goal of TOPIK 3 might be too difficult. But I kept going. Each day, I tried a little harder; each time I made a mistake, I found a way to correct it, and I gradually felt myself improving. And then the result I received was **TOPIK 3** and a **70% scholarship for the Master’s program at Baekseok University (백석대학교)**. 🎓🇰🇷 To others, this may be just a result, but to me, it is proof that sincere effort is never in vain. Thank you to myself for not giving up. The journey ahead will surely still have many challenges, but I believe that as long as I keep trying, I will be able to achieve even more. ❤️

🎤🇰🇷 IF YOU COME TO KOREA AND HAVEN’T TRIED 노래방 YET, THAT’S A BIT OF A SHAME!!! When talking about Korean entertainment culture, one thing that definitely can’t be missed is 노래방 (Noraebang) – karaoke rooms 🎶 Unlike in many other places, 노래방 in Korea are usually private singing rooms for groups of friends, families, or coworkers. After stressful hours of studying or working, people can go into a room together, choose their favorite songs, and party their hearts out. 😆🎵 ✨ What’s fun about 노래방? 🎤 Sing Korean, Vietnamese, and international songs 🎶 Private rooms, comfortable for having fun with friends 💡 The space often has colorful lights, large screens, and lively sound effects 🍻 You can sing while chatting, eating, and drinking depending on the type of venue and its rules ⏰ Many 노래방 stay open quite late, making them perfect for get-togethers after work Especially for Vietnamese people living in Korea, 노래방 is also a really fun place to meet friends, relieve stress, and sing familiar Vietnamese songs together. 🇻🇳 An evening doesn’t need to be too fancy: 👉 A few friends 👉 A 노래방 room 👉 A playlist of favorite songs 👉 And most importantly… someone willing to grab the mic first! 😂🎤 _And every time we go singing at 노래방, I’m always the first one to grab the mic and get things started 🤣🤣🤣 If you have a chance to be in Korea, give 노래방 a try at least once to experience a very familiar part of Korean entertainment culture! 🇰🇷✨

  • 🇰🇷 International students studying in Korea have probably experienced many times when they listen attentively while the professor is speaking, but once they get home, they can’t remember what they just heard 🥲

🇰🇷 International students studying in Korea have probably experienced many times when they listen attentively while the professor is speaking, but once they get home, they can’t remember what they just heard 🥲 Especially for classes taught in Korean, it’s really not easy to listen and take notes at the same time. I’ve been using this app to help record the lecture content, so I wanted to share it with everyone 📚 👉 Swipe through the images to see how to use it! At the end, I also added a few similar apps like Notta, Otter.ai, NotebookLM, and OneNote for everyone to refer to. I haven’t personally used these apps yet, so I can’t review their quality.
