I treated myself to a simple dinner after work and just sat there thinking, wow, I really made it through the first month 🙂 There is nobody from my country in my office, so at first I thought I might feel a bit out of place, but actually it pushed me to talk more with everyone and listen carefully. Small things like coworkers explaining lunch menus or checking if I got home okay made this month feel warmer than I imagined. Just wanted to share a small happy update for anyone starting a new job here. Take it one day at a time, you’re doing better than you think.

昨天我在韩国拿到了第一份工资，感觉比我想象中更让人动情。下班后我给自己吃了一顿简单的晚餐，只是坐在那里想着，哇，我真的熬过了第一个月 🙂 我的办公室里没有来自我国家的人，所以一开始我以为自己可能会有点格格不入，但实际上这促使我和大家更多交流，也更认真地倾听。像同事给我解释午餐菜单，或者确认我是否平安到家这样的小事，让这个月比我想象中更温暖。 只是想把这个小小的好消息分享给所有刚在这里开始新工作的人。一步一步来，你做得比自己想象的更好。
